Mac book Air - Worst Innovations

Hii!!
Just got a mail from Apple Asia region asking me to preorder Mac book Air. It is the crappiest thing I ever saw in my life.

How about asking you to join a Slimming Program which takes out your kidney, liver, eyes and 2kg brain to make you weigh less.. ha ha...

Surprised ... This is what Apple is asking you to do when buying Mac book Air..
They are offering an 8GB disk and a 64GB solidstate option.. with
out any optical drives..What the fish!!!... It asks you to use shared optical drives over network... (Suppose, You want to rip a new music or install a new software, then what?? ... run to your PC next room )..ha ha....

It gets you a cute little expander dock which just has a single USB...
And then they get you an external optical drive which is heavier than your notebook to carry around..(Buy a notebook and then a bulk optical drive, think of the pain when you travel with it..)

Final Verdict : Its the worst innovation with features no more than a smart phone..

More to come!!

I kind of agree and disagree with what your saying. I mean, the specs are not the best, but it's only a matter of time when they are as good as the current MacBook Pros. I guess it's a gimmick, id love to have one just to amaze people with it's 'thinovation' but then again I would definitely not pay that kind of money for a thin piece of usless nothing. But if I was a rich guy and all I wanted was a word processing, web browsing, office computer then I would definetly buy a Macbook Air.

But I do think Apple are great inovators.

Your an idiot, ITS A SUB NOTEBOOK, no sub notebooks have optical drives, and it has a bigger drive than the rest too, plus multitouch trackpad. and its 80gb hard drive standard, not 8!!!!

This is very pointless.
MacBooks are the most amazing computers.
This MacBook is a great computer, and The optical drives are not bulky, and do NOT weigh alot. As i have held and seen one myself. You are a horrible critic if you think that this small computer isn't good. It is small, compatable with other wireless connections, and very handy. Its a hands on computer. As you said that they made this to weigh less, you are WRONG they made it to be thin. Many smart people will buy this product because it is small and people need small portable laptops to fit in their bags or to take on trips or to use for business matters. So I think you should think again abotu all that you said, cause you are completely WRONG.
Thanks.

I have to agree with laura, macbooks are some of the nicest computers and Apple is one of the most innovative companies in the world. I don't undestand why you would actually spend time and effort mac bashing. The macbook air actuall has a lot of good things in it- like 2GB of ram (which is actually quite alot by today's standards), 1.6 GHz or 1.8 GHz processor, built-in camera, and an 80 GB hard drive. It also has some of the most advanced wireless capabilities in the world built into the computer that you get right out of the box. It even has the ability to pair with another computer's (PC or Mac) optical drive, an ability which I've never heard of before in my life. It's got a multitouch keypad, back-lit keybord, and I'd like to mention that because of all it's wireless capabilities (built-in) that there is no need for extra USB ports, especially because all of it's peripherals are part of the computer. You can even buy a wirless external hard drive for it. For cryin' out loud, it can do anything a PC can; it can run Micrisoft office, heck it can even run windows Vista! Another thing, the Macbook Air packs all this stuff into a laptop that is 3/4 of an inch at it's thickest point, and less than 1/10 of an inch in it's thinnest! Not only that, the Macbook Air just looks downright sexy! it's got the sleekest and most elegant design on the market.

All I'm trying to say is that this macbook, though it may be thin and light, it doesn't compromise anything at all because of that fact.

"Thin is in."
